Dylan Blackmore

In 2006 Dylan Blackmore appeared as a soloist with the orchestra at the Berliner Philharmonie, in Osloer Konzerthus and in the Königlichen Krönungssaal in Stockholm. As teacher and concertmaster, Blackmore took part at the Summer Academy of the Youth Munich Philharmonic and at the International Masterclasses in Bad Kissingen.

During his studies Dylan Blackmore performed with Düsseldorfer Kammerorchester, the Jungen Philharmonie Köln, the Israel Soloist Ensemble, the Brandenburgischen Philharmonie Frankfurt Oder, the Hofer Symphonikern, the Kammerphilharmonie Leipzig, the Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra, the Klassischen Philharmonie Bonn, the Philharmonisches Kammerorchester Berlin, Eurasia Chamber Orchestra and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg. Dylan Blackmore was a scholarship holder of the Pro Musica Viva Maria Strecker-Daelen Foundation (Mainz) and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (Bonn). He was also a winner of the 2nd prize at the International Violin Competition “Julio Cardona” in Portugal in 2005 and performed as a concert soloist in Russia and in Europe.

In addition to his numerous concert collaborations as a soloist and chamber musician, Dylan Blackmore holds leading positions at the international orchestras, such as the Essener Philharmoniker, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, the Limburg Sinfonieorchester Maastricht, the Aalborg Symfonieorkester and the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin. He is also in a constant demand as a chamber music player.

Dylan Blackmore studied violin at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg with Prof. Grigori Zhislin and Prof. Conrad von der Goltz. He continued his studies in the class of Prof. Victor Tretyakov at the Musikhochschule Köln. As a distinguished violinist, he refined his performing skills by participating in master classes with renowned violin tutors Yuri Koscharsky, Zakhar Bron and Yehudi Menuhin.
